Why are some USA States Blocked by Poker Rooms?

Kentucky is blocked by several poker rooms due to the state's Governer, Steve Beshear's attempt to seize 141 internet gambling domains including many poker rooms.

If the site does not allow players from Kentucky, they are exept from domain seizure. So, that is the reason many sites are blocking Kentucky players.

Washington state has a 2006 law that prohibits online gambling. Even though no one that we know of has been prosecuted under this law, it is a Class C Felony. A Class C Felony can carry up to ten years in prison, which makes an online gambler in the same class as a sex offender.
